This twin lamp trimless plaster downlight features a deep rectangular 65mm lamp recess for soft ambient light.
When installed, the bond between luminaire and wall/ceiling is completely trimless and seamless and not prone to hair line cracking along the installation lines. This is achieved by using a material with a rate of expansion and contraction matching that of gypsum plaster. This allows for an invisible interface between the fitting and ceiling surface, so the end result looks as though its shape has been cast directly into the wall/ceiling surface rather than added retrospectively. The definition and quality of finish on these fittings is unparalleled in any other material and is far superior to metal fittings. They are also suitable for painting with standard emulsion paint.
This fitting is hand crafted using a modern plaster composite material, designed to be more durable and tolerant to changes in heat and moisture content, whilst simultaneously providing a superior finish. After the plaster is poured and cured in rubber moulds, each fitting is then painstakingly hand finished to our exacting standards. Each exterior surface is left perfectly smooth, with all edges clean and crisp.
